DETAILED PROGRAM
DAY-1
Arrival at Kochi International Airport
Meenakshi Amman temple in Madurai is a relic of Dravidian architecture and one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in India. The thousand pillar hall in the temple has 985 carved pillars and each will produce different musical note when we struck. Here you will definitely find an ethereal glee away from your bustling being.
From there we will visit Vaigai dam a magnificent gravity dam with scenic beauty,which is nearly 70km frm Madurai and then proceed to Pazhamudhir sholai.
After sightseeing we shall move on to Kodaikkanal , our next destination. After check-in at hotel relax the rest of the day there followed by an overnight stay.
DAY-2
After your breakfast we will take you to explore the beauty of Kodaikkanal- a full day sightseeing in and around 'Kodaikkanal', which is nicknamed as the 'Princess of Hills'. The misty cliffs, ridges, cloud capped mountains, cascading waterfalls.. all make you feel wonderful.
Main attractions are
1. Piller Rocks
2. Bear shola falls
3. Coakers walk
4. Green valley view
5. Devils kitchen
6. Kodai lake etc.
Spend the rest of time at hotel at total leisure and overnight stay is at Kodaikkanal.
DAY-3
After breakfast we will proceed to Rameswaram (4-5hrs journey). On reaching Rameswaram you can check-in at hotel and have lunch there. It is located on a beautiful island and is one of the holiest places in India. Afternoon will be the perfect time for sightseeing since climate is somewhat arid till noon
1. The five-faced Hanuman temple
2. Rameswaram temple
3. Agni theeram
4. Annai Indira gandhi road bridge
5. Jatayu tirtham
6. Ariyaman beach etc.
Enjoy the overnight stay at Rameswaram.
DAY-4
Dhanush kodi is not very far from rameswaram, and the only way of transportation to dhanush kodi is some bus services operated by Gov of Tamilnadu. Once we reach dhanush, get set to enjoy some amazing scenic spots through an island walk.Here we can see a beautiful natural bridge starts as chain from dhaushkodi and ends in Srilanka. It is considered as the bridge made by Sriram – Ramsetu- according to ancient Indian epic “Ramayana”. It is also believes that is a way of expulsion of Adam from Eden. Anyhow it remains as a wonder for human eyes even now..
The delightful walk includes
1. Pamban island
2. Dhanush kodi beach
3. Ramar patham temple
4. Gulf of mannar marine national park etc.
After sightseeing we will head back to Rameswaram and check-out from the hotel. Then transfer to Madurai airport to connect flight for onward destination .
